FAQ
Common questions about the dynamic QR shirt.
Short answers about public scans, private owner access, editable destinations, uploads, scan signals, and buying a ScanCore shirt.
What is ScanCore?
ScanCore is a shirt with a public QR code and a private owner link. People scan the public QR, while the owner can change what that QR opens after purchase.
Does the printed QR physically change?
No. The code printed on the shirt stays the same. What changes is the online destination connected to that code.
Who can change what the QR opens?
Only the person with the private owner link can change the QR destination. Keep that link private, because it acts like the access key for that shirt.
What does a person scanning the shirt see?
They see the current public destination set by the owner. They do not see the private owner panel and cannot edit the shirt from the public QR.
How does the private owner link work?
The private link opens the owner panel for that shirt. It is not printed on the shirt and should not be shared publicly, because it controls the public QR.
What links can I set as the destination?
You can set a public http:// or https:// link, such as a profile, playlist, shop page, event invite, menu, portfolio, or campaign page. The link must be lawful, safe, and suitable for a public QR.
Can I use a mini page or uploaded content instead of a link?
When the shirt is configured for a public page, the owner can use the available fields and approved uploads to present simple content. Upload only files you have the right to use and avoid sensitive personal data.
What analytics are included?
The owner panel shows basic scan activity, such as scan counts and recent scan signals. ScanCore is meant to show interest in the shirt, not to build detailed visitor profiles.
Is it safe for other people to scan the QR?
The public QR is meant to be scanned in everyday situations, but people should use the same judgment they use with any QR code. The owner is responsible for keeping the destination honest, current, and appropriate.
Can I change the destination after the shirt is already in use?
Yes. That is the point of the dynamic QR. You can update the destination from the private owner panel without reprinting the shirt.
How can I buy a shirt?
Use the purchase button in the navigation or purchase section. The QR remains printed on the shirt, and you can update its destination after purchase.
What if I lose private access?
Contact the operator. The private token can be rotated after ownership is checked.
What if I give the shirt to someone else?
Pass the private owner link only to the new owner. If there is any doubt about access, contact ScanCore so the token can be reviewed or rotated after ownership is checked.
